Lake Norman Soccer Club's u17 and u14/15
Girls are in Europe!
Lake Norman Soccer Club's U17 and U14/15 Girls Eclipse teams are playing in Europe Right now! Our U17's headed out on July 8, 2015. They will spend 19 days touring, training and playing soccer against teams in Iceland, Denmark and Sweden. They will be competing in both the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden and the Dana Cup in Hjorring, Denmark. This team played in Denmark and Sweden 2 years ago winning the Dana Cup, earning the invitation to come back and play in the Gothia Tipselit Trophy Elite Tournament this summer. This tournament is an invitation only tournament geared towards elite players and teams. The tournament consists of 16 teams total (8 Swedish and 8 foreign teams including Chelsea, Birmingham, Racing Santander).
Our u14/15's will be be arriving in Gothenburg on July 11 where they will meet up with the u17's. These ladies will compete in the Gothia World Youth Cup as well as the Dana Cup.

To compete to Win the Gothia Cup and to defend their past Dana Cup Championships. Lake Norman has been to the Dana Cup twice before, both times winning the championship.

Opening Parade,with more than 10,000 players

1st game of the Dana Cup. Over 1000 teams from more than 40 countries.
July 22
2nd and 3rd game in the first round of the tournament.

First playoff game. All teams are guaranteed a game in the playoff round.

Playoff games continue
July 25
Day of the Finals. Also say goodbye to Dana Cup. Motorcoach to Copenhagen. Accomodation: Copenhagen Island Hotel. Copenhagen Island Hotel in city center.
July 26
Day to enjoy Copenhagen. Sightseeing by canal tour, also possibly to watch Danish Premier League game in Copenhagen. Ejoy Tivoli Gardens in the evening. Perfect way to end a great tour.
July 27
Leave Copenhagen at 7:50am arrive in Charlotte 5pm.
